This salad is fantastic. Now among my favorites. I don't normally make dressings with my salad, but I made this one and am glad I did. All of the ingredients merged well and played off of one another.

Yes, it is possible to find fresh peaches in January. But farmer's market peaches in July will make this even better. Even my non-salad-eating teenager liked it. So quick and easy on a busy work night. Will definitely make again. It would also be a great first course for a dinner party.

I read the reviews of this recipe and depending on experience changed it up. I chopped one peach for each person I was serving, For the dressing, I added 1 Tablespoon of sesame seed, 1 teaspoon poppy seed and a dash of cayenne pepper and about a 1/4 tsp sugar more; blended it all. I made 3 servings for 3 of us, I used maybe 6 oz of torn lettuce, It was stunning. It looked beautiful and it presented beautifully and was eaten completely by 3 of us. I gave the recipe away already, and I will make it nest fresh peach season.

This salad is good, but I couldn't actually taste the peaches. I think the balsamic might be too strong. I used top of the season amazing peaches and I want to actually taste them - and therefore would not make it again.

This is an excellent combination of flavors. I made as directed with the addition of some blueberries. The amount of dressing needs to be doubled though.

What a lovely and delicious salad. I'm anxious to try it again as I had pears on hand and used them instead of the peaches. I did add a tad more maple syrup to the dressing and served with a crusty bread. Will make again just as soon as the fresh peaches arrive in the stores.

This was an excellent, easy summer salad. I used organic nectarines, and greens from the farmer's market, but other than that, and cutting the recipe in half for just my husband and me, I changed nothing. We loved the flavor combo of the red onions, fruit, pecans, goat cheese and the dressing, and all the textures were wonderful. On the side, I cut some crusty La Brea Bakery whole grain bread, brushed each slice lightly with a friend's homemade garlic olive oil, placed fresh thyme and rosemary sprigs in between each slice, wrapped it all in foil and heated it in the oven. The bread was a perfect accompaniment. Served it with a very dry California rose' wine.

This is a great recipe! Absolutely delicious! Both my husband and I thought it was wonderful! I added honey to the dressing. I wanted it just a little bit sweeter.

Simply amazing. I used a couple of spiced-rubbed chicken breasts that were grilled the night before, two ounces of goat cheese (the listed amount is a bit stingy), and about 50% more pecans. I served the dressing on the side and let everyone add their own.

This salad is absolutely delicious! Made it tonight for my friends - both asked for the recipe. Served with rosemary crusty bread because I had some in the freezer. Great summer salad.

Loved this. I would suggest tossing greens, peaches and dressing just before serving. Forgot the goat cheese and it didn't matter. I had a package of "glazed pecans" and used those. Easier and tasty. Used fresh spinach instead of mixed greens. I only mixed enough spinach and peach mixture for what we would eat right away. I saved the rest for leftovers and mixed as needed which worked out well. Bought herbed bread to save time which was bland. Dish can handle garlicky herbed bread. May try bread as directed adding garlic.

We decided to make it as a side item (without the chicken) and added cherry tomatoes. My husband does not like to east his vegetables and he ate TWO bowls! This salad is AMAZING!

Not even my husband liked this, and he eats everything. Once I stirred in the dressing, the salad turned to mush. Nothing special about the flavor either. Can't believe it was a 5-star recipe.

I enjoyed this salad quite a bit, but even with the chicken it was only a very light dinner. We often eat salad for dinner, but this one just wasn't enough. Next time I will probably leave the chicken out and use it as a side salad. It was definitely delicious!

A fast, easy recipe that delivers superb flavor. I used grilled boneless chicken thighs that had been marinated in barbeque sauce, and that elevated this dish a notch. Mangoes would work when peaches are not in season. I served it with nan bread grilled along with the chicken. A perfect summer meal for family or company.

My husband, son, and I really enjoyed this salad! Delicious on a hot summer day! Changes I made: I used stir fry chicken, and sauteed it with the red onion; then added the "dressing mixture" (with a little extra maple syrup) while the chicken and onion were almost finished cooking. Then, I spooned the hot chicken, onion, and dressing mixture over the salad and peaches, and crumbled on the goat cheese and pecans. It was delicious this way even without the herbed bread. I hope that others will enjoy it as much as we did!

We loved this salad! Fresh, easy, and very flavorful. While the rotisserie chicken called for in the recipe would be really nice, I decided to substitute with medium-sized shrimp. It worked well! The only change I will make next time will be to cut down on the dressing. The volume of dressing was a little much, and made the salad a bit too 'wet' for my liking. But, the flavor was great! Definitely a keeper!

What a great meal for a warm summer evening. I had everything on hand except the shallots, so I just left them out. I had marinated and grilled some chicken breasts, and they were perfect in this salad. I didn't use all of the dressing. This is definitely a keeper!

This salad is really delicious. It's great as a main meal, but I would also serve it without the chicken as a side salad. I roasted two chicken breasts and they tasted great, but I would also use shrimp or even pork instead if using as a main meal. I also added fresh strawberries because I had them on hand--great with the peaches. A good crusty bread goes very well with it. I would serve it to guests. Will make it often.

What a wonderful summery salad! I usually make it the night after we have a rotisserie chicken so the meat is chilled. If you don't like regular goat cheese (my husband HATES it), look around for smoked goat cheese. Tastes wonderful, but without the sour sharp bite to it. This will be a summer staple!

This is our hands down favorite. When we started a low carb diet, I switched to sugar free maple syrup and reduced the balsamic vinegar in the dressing. This is a very pleasing flavor and texture combination. Don't skip the goat cheese.

AMAZING!! Loved this recipe! My husband and I agreed it tasted like something you would get at a restaurant. I substituted the rotisserie chicken with chicken breasts which I sautéed with salt and pepper and then cut into bite-sized pieces. I served it with the herbed bread sticks and that just completes the flavor of the whole dish!

I didn't have all the ingredients, so I did some substitutions and it was still fantastic. Used gorgonzola cheese instead of the goat cheese and sliced almonds instead of pecans. Will definitely make again according to the receipe. Served with Carr's Rosemary Crackers for a quick lunch for my husband and myself. Loved the dressing.

Made this recipe as is and it was excellent! I had been searching all summer for a good entree salad worthy of guests and this is it. My husband gobbled it up. I made the herbed bread as suggested and the flavors were perfect together. This will be a new regular recipe as we have so many hot days in AZ when a delicious, cool salad is a perfect meal. By shredding the rotisserie chicken ahead, it was a very quick week night meal.

This was an excellent dinner salad- I used fresh NC peaches and local goat cheese which paired heavenly with the pecans and maple-balsamic dressing- every bite was a pleasure! This combined so quickly that it will become a go to weeknight summer meal. I also made the foccacia with herbs from my garden - what a fabulously delicious and simple meal.

This salad is very good and simple to prepare. I used the meat from a whole rotisserie chicken. I was a little worried that there wouldn't be enough dressing since I used extra meat, but there was plenty. I also used honey-roasted pecan pieces--very good. I will make this salad again--a yummy, quick meal for summer.

Used a breast from CL's lemon-rosemary whole roast chicken. Had great white peaches. Made the recommended herb bread with a combo of thyme, rosemary & oregano. Lovely summer meal, rated "special occasion" because it was so pretty and fresh and the peaches were a surprise.
